Is the winter weather irritating your skin?

Glowing, hydrated skin starts from the inside out.
Hydration keeps your skin functioning properly and your whole body feeling its best, but let’s not forget about topical hydration and water rich foods too.
If your skin ever feels dry, tight, or parched, a mist can quickly become your skin saviour. They’re a must during the colder months when the heating is on full blast, just as essential in warmer weather or hot climates, and a total lifesaver if you experience hormonal flushes.
Use your mist between every step of your skincare routine to keep skin feeling fresh and quenched. They’re especially great before applying oils, helping to seal in all that lovely moisture.
The best part? Mists and spritzes are super easy. Simple bottled water works, your'e skin will drink it right up 💧✨ I make my own simple, and cheap
facial mist, (see recipe below) as well as my own super hydrating BMB Beauty Balm. I cannot do without it, especially this time of year.
I also love to add water rich foods into my diet to help keep my skin from feeling irritated. My faves are mushrooms, cucumber, courgettes, and watermelon. I am not a fan of the tap water here in Dorset. its so chalky. I filter my water, but i love raw coconut water too, which is also a great way to get electrolytes in your body. If I have a night out drinking wine, I also need to replenish my body with electrolytes. I find it helps avoid a foggy head, but also helps your skin too.
Homemade Facial Mist
2 tablespoons camomile water or rose water
120ml filtered water
1 tablespoon vegan glycerine. (Optional)
Store in a sealed glass bottle, and use within a month.
I spray a light mist after I have cleansed my face with my dreamy BMB Beauty Balm, and then put a thin layer of BMB Beauty balm to finish and voila.
Happy, plumped skin and no irritation.
