Exploring the shapes of yin yoga. Come and play with me. An insightful workshop which enables you to explore the various shapes of the Yin-Yoga asanas to strengthen your joints, and improve flexibility. This practice that encompasses many elements to help keep the spine, hips and heart happy and strong. 1.5 hours. What is yin? Despite its chilled and relaxed appearance, YIN yoga is both mentally and physically challenging. Yin is a non spiritual practice. Yin poses (asanas) are held between 3 - 7 minutes to release stiffness in the joints and deeper tissues, while restorative shapes are held for longer to support the nervous system. This workshop will focus on the hips, spine and heart. By completely relaxing the body, we are able to dissolve mental and physical agitation. You will need to bring your own mat, blanket, 2 pillows. This course is non refundable. Kerry has 30 years teaching experience within the health and fitness industry and is a certified with Yoga Alliance UK and OCR UK. Please note payments are non refundable, however the workshop can be transferred to a friend or family member free of charge. (Payment plan is also available, ask for further details.
